A fav memory is picking cherries with my grandchildren four years ago at an elderly lady’s small farm that has two cherry trees. While the grandkids were all too busy with typical teenage activities, two friends joined me this year and within an hour we each had over 2 gallons of beautiful, bright red cherries. I was appointed as the official thank you card designer and wanted to share with you the result.
The whisper white extra thick card stock makes a perfect card base and who doesn’t like the crisp real red with a hint of garden green to complete a ever so yummy cherry card. The real red ribbon was not cooperating in forming the perfect bow so I opted to use white baker’s twine to “tie” the bow.
I finished the inside with a sweet border of real red, a thank you, and three little cherries that I glossed using the fine tip glue.
The fun part is that to get all three of us to sign the card will require another “girl’s night outing”!
My husband was delighted to have a homemade cherry cobbler as the finishing touch to his Father’s Day dinner.
