Today’s card features another piece of the Painted Autumn DSP.   I had lived most of my life in the Akron, Ohio area with streets lined with mighty white oaks.   Many times the city and electrical company wanted to take down the oaks and we who had one in front of our house fought to keep them.   Every fall we paid the price by having lots of leaves to rake and every other year a bumper crop of acorns.   Of course we had the problem squirrels who constantly chewed through electrical and cable wires.

I began with Very Vanilla extra thick card stock  and layered the DSP with a band of Copper Ribbon.   Fresh Fig provided a dash of coordinating color.   I used the oak leaf from Vintage leaves and sponged it with Fresh Fig and Cajun Craze.  By using a Versa mark marker, I added touches of copper embossing powder (which shows better in the picture below).

I competed the inside by stamping a sentiment in fresh fig and cut out a couple of the acorns from the dsp.

I can’t wait to share tomorrow’s card with you.   Until then … be blessed!
